English Enhancement Programme (ELTA)

Our English Language Teaching Assistants (ELTAs) – Mr. Andrew and Mr. Tomyn – are dedicated to supporting English learning for Primary 4 to 6 students.
They:
•Co-teach with Local English Teachers (LETs)
•Design fun and engaging teaching materials
•Host chit-chat sessions and recess activities to boost students’ oral confidence

HKU QEF (IDEALS)

P.4 subject teachers collaborated with HKU professors and staff to incorporate self-directed learning elements into their lesson design.
The project aims to enhance students' learning autonomy and effectiveness through meaningful and engaging experiences.
📌Target Group: P.4 – P.6 students

PNET Scheme - P.1-3 NET Lessons

Our NET teacher, Ms Kennedy, provides engaging English lessons focusing on phonics and reading skills.
Students are placed in mixed-ability groups and rotate through different activity stations.
The interactive setting helps foster:
•Interest in English learning
•Peer collaboration and communication skills

Reading Beyond

Students enhance their vocabulary and comprehension through interactive reading and drama activities.
These activities:
•Boost speaking confidence
•Encourage teamwork and creativity
•Impart moral values through storytelling
📌Target Group: P.4CD, P.5CD and P.6 students

24-25 Multi-intelligence Groups

To help students become a more confident English communicator, students from Class 4AB & 5AB are offered a series of fun English activities to join. They do group rotations throughout the school year. They are able to learn English from STEAM, drama, cooking and board games lessons.

24-25 Singapore Study Tour

Our students partnered with Bedok Green Primary School on a project about protecting endangered animals.
During the tour, they explored Singaporean culture, practiced English authentically, and gained insights into global awareness and sustainability.

Cultural Exchange Programme

Our students visited Nanjing to collaborate with our sister school.
They engaged in cultural exchange activities and showcased their school life at JVSJ using English.
